The roots of Pump5 go back to the mid-1990s, way before guitar solos and soaring rock vocals would come back in style. The group reformed in 2018 as frontman Steven Barnett, bassist Drew Cates, drummer Andre Bonter (The Poorboys, Lefty) and guitarist Alex Kane(Life Sex & Death, Enuff Z'Nuff).

The quartet arguably found the last needed piece of the puzzle after joining forces with producer/songwriter Dennis Hill (Face to Face, Sammy Hagar, Montgomery Gentry, Fenix TX).

The success of Pump5's 2019 album "Full Service" led to touring alongside the likes of Bullet Boys, Great White, L.A. Guns, Puddle Of Mudd and Enuff Z'Nuff.

Pump5 reconvened to record its next full-length release in Fall 2022 with Dennis Hill on production duties and Mike Troolines (Los Lobos, Ignite, Righteous Brothers) on mixing and mastering duties, the end-result of this collaboration is "Paradise Place". The influences on "Paradise Place" are many, but clearly steeped in Rock and Roll heritage with ripping guitars, big backbeats, lush harmonies, and sing along melodies intact.

Barnett's dynamic hook filled songs fill the album from front to back weaving through hard charging rockers ("Make Me", "Hello", "Cheers") big anthems ("Rain", "Circus", "End of We") and glorious manifesto's ("Junkman", "Cat Sung").

Released on 4/20/2023 "Paradise Place" coincided with a tour through the Midwest and Southwest beginning in Nashville TN.
