Get your spoons ready—there’s a brand-new ice cream flavor on the scene, and it’s unlike anything you’ve probably tasted before.
Here’s the scoop:
Frida, the well-known parenting brand, has partnered with OddFellows Ice Cream Co. to launch a limited-edition flavor called "Breast Milk Ice Cream." While the name might raise a few eyebrows, don’t worry—it’s not actually made with breast milk.
So, what is in it?
The flavor is inspired by breast milk and is packed with nutrients commonly found in the real thing, including colostrum. According to Frida, the taste is “freshly expressed and oddly familiar”—a sweet, salty, and smooth blend with subtle notes of honey.
Where to find it:
-
You can order it online through the Frida website for nationwide shipping until August 10.
-
Or, if you’re in Brooklyn, you can try it in person at a special pop-up event hosted by Frida at OddFellows’ DUMBO location (44 Water Street) from August 5–10.
Why this flavor?
Frida says the ice cream went viral earlier this year, prompting them to bring it back and expand availability nationwide. The brand even playfully claims it’s “just like mom used to make.”
Whether you’re curious, nostalgic, or just craving something totally unique, this new flavor is definitely one for the summer bucket list.
